As we all know, I am a huge lover of boots. This time of year really makes me want to excessively buy them! Booties are a key piece for every season, but when Fall comes around they are essential. They are such a versatile piece to have in your closet. You can easily pair them with just about everything you have- skinnies, boyfriend jeans, maxi dresses, leather skirts, etc.

I like to have a variety of booties in different colors on hand. Obviously, black and brown are must haves, but it is always nice to break out a great navy or olive. These colors can be styled as a neutral, which is really helpful with their versatility- especially if you have put a good chunk of change towards them. My personal fave is my Isabel Marant Dicker Bootie in tan. It is such a great tan that is so incredibly easy to wear- even if you are more of a black boot kind of girl.

Special details are another thing I look for when buying new booties. I always love a chunky zipper or some sort of metal or chain detailing. If you want to do details in a less obvious way, look for a boot with a great buckle. This still adds something a little special, but isn’t so loud and chunky.

I hope you all love my picks as much as I do. Remember booties are always a good investment, so saving for a few extra weeks to get those ones you really love will totally be worth it! xo

Best Dressed.

Always be your best! These are words I live by, even when it comes to getting dressed. Our ‘Best Dressed‘ tee from our Fall ’15 collection is a great way to remind yourself of this motto!

Being best dressed doesn’t have to mean wearing the most fancy, trendy, or expensive clothes. It means walking into a room and feeling confident in yourself with a little help from what you are wearing. I love this tee because of the meaning behind it, as well as it’s versatility. The black and white look can go with anything and can look really chic with a nice black blazer and a pair of skinnies. Don’t be afraid to accessorize with this tee! Throw on an amazing pair of heels and some jewels and you are ready to go! (even if it is just going to the market!)

Check out this tee and the rest of my favorites HERE! Also, don’t forget everyone now gets free shipping!! xo

The Staple: Hats

ASOS felt fedora hat  |  MICHAEL STARS straw panama hat  |  URBAN OUTFITTERS ‘staring at stars’ panama hat

RAG & BONE felted wool hat  |  ANINE BING  panama hat (similar here)  |  JANESSA LEONE ‘sara’ hat

SAINT LAURENT wide brim hat  |  HATMAKER + HATMAKER  grosgrain-trimmed straw hat  |  LANVIN ‘capeline’ hat

For this weeks The Staple, we are bringing out our favorite fall accessory, HATS! I always love a good hat and have a great little collection going. Hats are always a great addition to any outfit. They are the prefect little thing to add for that casual but put together look. Yes, I wear hats all year long… because I just can’t help it.. but Fall is the best time to bring out those all time favorites. I usually lean towards wide brim felt hats to add to my collection, but finding a good panama hat is always a major score.

If you are just starting out your hat collection, I would start with a great basic black. Then branch out to other neutrals like grey, brown, or olive. Once you get addicted, which you will, start buying those special colored hats!

I also wanted to invite you guys to the Phillip Lim Sample Sale this week in Los Angeles! This is always a great sale where you can get all of those amazing pieces that you have been wanting all year! Get there early to avoid the long line because you know it’s going to be good. Hope to see you all there! More info below:
