Gabriela Artigas tusk necklace / Dolce & Gabbana translucent sunglasses / ESSIE nail polish in Sand Tropez / Birkenstock ‘Arizona’ sandals in white (and in navy) / Gigi Burris panama hat / Antik Batik clutch (in crossbody) / DKNY x Opening Ceremony denim skirt / TOPSHOP jumper

A little shopping list for your summer staples!

  • Necklace: I’m such a fan of layering gold necklaces especially when they’re dainty and in different lengths! Pretty little necklaces like this Artigas one is perfect for low cut button down shirts and denim shorts! Sexy but subtle!
  • Sunglasses: You can never have too many pairs of sunglasses for the summer. I feel like they complete any look… I have to admit, I have an obsession with sunglasses! Try for a translucent pair to add a cool factor to your look! These D&B are the perfect color!
  • Nail polish: Who isn’t obsessed with getting manis/pedis? I know I am! For me, I always stick to neutrals because it looks clean, chic and effortless plus my tanned skin makes it hard for me to wear bright colors! Stands out too much… so I always opt for my favorite neutral color by Essie- Sand Tropez! Seriously, the best color especially for the hot summer!
  • Sandals: Birkenstocks are back! I recommend picking up a pair of these in white and your summer will be fabulous being comfortable and looking too cool for school.
  • Panama hat: Summer essential. Period. It makes any summer look that much more cuter especially if you vacationing! A must-have!
  • Clutch: The last detail to finish off your summer vibe look. Antik Batik always carries the most beautiful clutches that evoke summer in paradise!
  • Skirt: I try to stay away from seasonal/foral prints because its easier for me to wear a denim skirt in more ways in summer than a floral skirt! Splurge in a nice denim skirt for summer and you’ll see how fun it is to dress it up or down…looks uber cool with your pair of Birkenstocks, just sayin’.
  • Jumper: Summer is all about shorts, dresses and hot weather! But I suggest picking up a cute jumper, kinda cropped, because those long summer nights can get a little chilly! Plus, you’ll still be showing a bit of skin anyway since its cropped!

Stay tuned every week as I will bring you different shopping lists that I’m into and craving! Fun stuff! Leave a comment on what kind of shopping lists would you guys want to see? What to pack? Back to school? Creative job? Mexico inspired? etc.

Spring Shoes.

Spring is definitely in the air! So happy the beautiful weather in LA has been consistently hot with blue skies. Spring is one of my favorite seasons not only because I get to enjoy nice warm weather but I get to pull out all my different types of beautiful spring shoes!

I love to go from sandals to espadrilles to heels; they all work perfectly with my super casual looks!

Some key shoes that I highly recommend for spring are:

  • espadrilles / You can play around with different types of espadrilles, but stick to neutral colors; they’ll go with pretty much anything in your wardrobe. If you want to purchase a pair of flat espadrilles then great, I recommend buying a striped pair! They’ll add a perfect touch of print.
  • birkenstocks / They came back so strong this season and even though people had mixed feelings about these, they really can completely a super casual spring look. Many designers came out with their own version of the birkenstocks, so try a pair out! I happen to love the ones Isabel Marant designed.
  • strappy heels / Spring is all about wearing floral dresses and short shorts and sometimes you have to dress those pieces up and sandals won’t cut it so you have to find a nice pair. Preferably, I recommend sticking to a low heel as its more day-time appropriate especially for spring! I also like strappy heels- they feel sexy and make your legs appear thinner!
  • gladiator sandals / They’ve always been a favorite of mine! You can have fun with these as they do come in different sizes whether you want high up to your knees or mid low gladiator. They’re definitely a statement piece!
  • sandals / Any sandals, really. I prefer ones that are either tanned , black or white. They will be more versatile then say a bright pink. So have fun with buy a pair, just make sure to stick to ones that you can wear seasons and seasons to come!

Which kind of shoes do you enjoy wearing for spring? Share please!

I have the OG Birkenstock sandals in tan but wanted to splurge on these Isabel Marant ones because how could I say no to grommets and ankle tie details? So cute!

Hands down, my favorite espadrilles, EVER. These amazing Vince ones  (unfortunately they are sold out everywhere!) are the most comfiest shoes and they seriously go with everything I throw one. I must say, these have to be my favorite spring shoes! They’re such staples! These wedge ones are very similar.

You can’t have Céline missing in your spring wardrobe! These are adorable and I love all the different neutral colors combined. Makes it easy to mix n’ match when I have black, brown and nude in my heels! The only thing though about these, they are very uncomfortable! I still haven’t been able to break them in.

trenchcoverI had always craved the perfect, light weight trench coat… one that I could wear during the spring with floral dresses and short shorts. I waited some time before finding the “right” one. I finally found one thats the perfect fit, color, and style and it’s been on rotation as it is such a staple.

I went for a fresh spring look pairing it with a striped tee and denim shorts; I added a fish tail braid to really keep things classic! Kind of frenchie of me!

There’s so many things you can wear a trench coat with…. for me, I like wearing it as if it was a denim jacket. It literally goes with everything!

Such a easy-breezy look! You can throw on a pair of converse for a sportier look!

I love layering up necklaces! Try to do different sizes in length and in pendant so that you have a nice balance. I love all the ones that Dogeard makes!

Another staple in your accessory department that I highly recommend is a pair of classic aviator Ray Bans! They are by far my favorite sunglasses! Whats cool about them is that they have different sizes but same shape for different faces!
