Knit, Knit

Los Angeles, CA April 28

Since Spring has definitely sprung and summer is around the corner, I finally made room for new items in my wardrobe. I got rid of about 10+ big trash bag size bags of clothes and shoes that I didn’t wear any longer. It felt like such a relief to get rid of so many pieces that just didn’t fit my style anymore. It felt like I was starting over, starting from scratch. It felt great to just keep those staple pieces that I can re-wear over and over again like my favorite pair of Levi’s or my buttery soft leather jackets for example.

Since half of my wardrobe has been wiped out clean, I’ve been quite limited on only wearing certain pieces back to back. I needed to do a little shopping spree to spruce up my wardrobe again and was excited at the idea of having a new start with new pieces! I mean, it’s always a ‘Yes!’ to shopping, right? Anyway, I headed to Nordstrom to checkout all the latest items in their Contemporary department and was pleased to see their department getting a bigger selection of designers- always a plus! I did a couple of rounds because the selection was just that good.

I left the store with two big, full paper bags with nicely folded pieces inside that I can’t wait to have you guys see! This is one of the looks I put together with some of the pieces I bought. The embroidered army jacket is definitely my favorite out of everything because the embroidered flowers give the jacket a softer feel which I love. You can throw it on over a flowy floral dress or with boyfriend jeans and a tee, and you’re good to go!

What’s your go-to department when you shop at Nordstrom? I love their beauty department too!
