I’m always intrigued by how other peoples’ ‘day in the life’ looks like, especially those that have their own business because clearly, they can do whatever, whenever! For me, I’ve been so fortunate to do what I do and be my own boss. Everyday for me is quite different, sometimes I’ll be stuck at my office all day working on emails, deadlines, designing new tees/projects, other days I’m running around all over town doing errands, visiting showrooms, in meetings, scouting locations, and some days I can have a more laid-back day where I can go out and have an “inspiration day” as I like to call them where I go out around L.A, visit some of my favorite shops/book stores, hangout at my favorite café to jot down ideas, go shopping, buy flowers, etc. I have these “inspiration day” kind of days at least once a week and it helps me get out of any creative rut, it gets me inspired with things I see/read/buy, and it clears my mind so that I’m able to comeback to my office and feel “new” again! It’s fun!
Yesterday was my “inspiration day” because we’ve been swamped with so much work lately- especially since we were away for two weeks. I needed to go out and do a couple of my favorite things so I can feel refreshed as I have great things/projects coming up that I need to be creatively inspired for. Yesterday I did just that and I left inspired.
Take a look at a quick day in the life of where I go in L.A to feel refreshed while I trotted around wearing a few of my new goodies, Loeffler Randall bag, boyfriend jeans and Maje tee I got in London! (warning: a lot of photos!)
I love starting off my “inspiration day” at one of my favorite cafés around my neighborhood in Silver Lake- Casbah Café. They always have the cutest fruit + pastry displays!
Sippin’ on my favorite macchiato with whip cream and enjoying the cute neighborhood view.
Took this adorable bag out for a spin with me for the first time too! Love the nude and black! Hot!
Checking out some street style; feeling inspired already!
Off to pick up some flowers for the office on the Westside. These jeans are ultra comfy and perfect for a day like this!
Finally at the flower shop at one of my favorites on Melrose- Moe’s Flowers.
I always have to pick up a few plants + succulents- they last longer and look so cute on the floor lined up against the brick wall in the office.
Came out with fresh, beautiful flowers and a few plants (not pictured). The hydrangea’s were for my desk!
Back at the office after running a few errands in between and visiting my favorite nail salon- Kure Spa in Silver Lake- for a much needed mani. (On wall: amazing vintage jacket x Loeffler Randall bag)
In my office, jotting down new ideas and flippin’ through magazines for inspiration. Working on the next new designs for the tshirts! Stay tuned!
