About a week ago, I showed you how I styled my favorite go-to skinny jeans in this post… kinda easy breezy with classic pieces like a white button up + oxfords.

For this week, I’m showing you how I styled this relaxed fit boyfriend jeans from Citizens of Humanity via Nordstrom. I always change between skinny and boyfriend because for me, they’re the most versatile kinda jeans to have. These boyfriend ones sit right on my hip so the slouchiness is extra comfy, which I love.

A little stripe top, pumps and pop of color never fails to make any boyfriend jeans look good… yes, even if your own boyfriends hates them.

Loving all the new stuff Nordstrom currently carries, with the hottest trends to carrying classic pieces too. Their denim selection however is my favorite because its a wide variety of styles and they have some of the best brands, you can’t beat that!

Don’t forget to pick up your favorite pair… especially since fall season is already here!

Denim Love.

One of the items I enjoy wearing the most is denim jeans. They’re the one piece of clothing that I get a kick out of when I score the ‘right’ pair. I mean, let’s face it… finding the perfect pair of skinny, boyfriend, or distressed jeans can be a difficult task. They’re so many details you have to look out for like fit, wash, detail, style, fabric, length, and comfort that it feels overwhelming when you’re in that tiny fitting room.

For me, it’s all about the fit and wash. I don’t buy jeans just to buy, I take my time until i find the right one(s). It usually does take me awhile before I find a good pair but I’ve learned to be patient and hunt down certain key stores, which is always the fun part.

With my patience and what I like to call good eye, I’ve picked up a few pairs that have become my personal favorites as of late. Some of my favorite brands like PAIGE, J BRAND, Citizens of Humanity and AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans are always the easiest to find at one of my go-to department stores, Nordstrom. It’s a one-stop shop that I know I can always rely on for the most on-trend pieces while receiving the best customer service. It’s convenient for me to find what I’m looking for when they carry some of the best (denim) brands under one roof, yes! I recently took a little shopping trip there to check out the latest jeans while splurging on a couple of jeans for myself since fall season is around the corner!

I went with a pair of J Brand distressed crop skinny jeans; a must-have in everyone’s wardrobe. They look so cool with a button up and pumps- kinda effortlessly sexy! I decided, however, to take the non-sexy route and pair my jeans with cut-out oxfords! It was the perfect look for a busy day at the office, attending two meetings and having a fun lunch with my team! The ripped holes add the effortless look that I always look for in certain pieces.

Stay tuned for my second pair of jeans that I bought and see how I styled them…hint, hint: the kind your boyfriend hates, but you love.

A little white + black combo never fails.

The frayed details make a pair of cool oxfords that much interesting.

A nice white crisp button-up is such a classic staple that you will regret not having one in your wardrobe.

Been a little too into the whole ‘wrap around jacket around your waist’ look lately… I’ve always been a fan, but seems like these last few months I’ve been drawn to reach out for my plaid shirt, denim or leather jacket to wrap around even more! Something about it adds a cool detail. It has such a ‘I don’t care’ kinda vibe which I appreciate.

Anyway, this knitted dress was the perfect bold piece to make a statement- it help me stay warm while it was easy to transition from day to night with just a pair of strappy heels! I was having a bad hair day where I didn’t feel like wearing it down, so I thought wearing it in a cool rope-like pony tail would be the perfect touch! It completed the 90’s look!
