Sharing one of my favorite looks from Florence! We spent our last day roaming all of Firenze, literally walking every block, alley way and corner. We felt like true Italians.
It was really nice to experience Florence not having any set plans and being able to just wander off. Not knowing where each corner would lead to, we stumbled into a couple of cool stores that carried awesome selections of clothing + accessories. I scored these adorable Marni jeweled sandals on sale! Yes! (love when that happens!)
One of the highlights of this day was visiting the perfumery, Santa Maria Novella. I highly recommend checking out this store if you’re visiting Florence. It was probably one of the prettiest shops I have ever visited… the elaborate ceiling and wall details in each room were just too pretty, the products they carried from perfumes to body care to oral hygiene were all unique, and each room felt like a museum. I bought my mom a night cream- she said it works wonders!
We also visited the Mercato Centrale! I love mercatos; something about walking the narrow aisles of food, fruit, and meats is so fun. There’s always so much to look at and different things to try, that it becomes a nice experience to remember.
This outfit was not only comfy, but it’s composed of basic pieces everyone has in their wardrobe- striped tee, utilitarian jacket and denim cut offs. Makes for easy packing because you can mix & match!
Wrapping up my photos from Florence so stay tuned! xx
Sharing my last look for the Luisaviaroma Firenze4Ever 9th edition Style Lab!
I got to the store a tad bit earlier than my call time (9:30 am) to have extra time to walk the floor and check out the racks and racks full of prints, silks, bold colors and crazy silhouettes. The options were endless and I found myself worried at times that I wouldn’t pick the “right” looks. Thankfully, every single piece hung at the store were beautifully made/designed- which made my styling options easier. Yes!
I definitely went BIG on this dress. It was completely studded and weighed probably more than me. It was heavy. It was beautiful. It was made for me to wear and prance around one of Florence’s most prettiest hotels, Villa Cora.
I added the boots to toughen up the look since I love having a bit of a contrast in my outfits. Glam meets tough for this one.
Hope you guys enjoy the last outfit to complete my Style Labe shoot with my good friends over at Luisaviaroma!
*Special thank you Luisaviaroma, Andrea, Camilla, Kelly, Maria Fernanda and everyone else who made this possible! xo
About two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of being invited for the second time (my first time was back in January 2013) to the very well known #Firenze4Ever event put together by the italian luxury retailer, Luisa via roma, which takes place in Florence. I was beyond thrilled to be asked to be a part of this years 9th Edition called “It’s Magic BRAZIL”, where everything was about color, life, prints, vibrant looks, texture and everything else in between.
Firenze4Ever is a bi-annual event (one in January and the other in June) where 35 international influencers/bloggers get invited to attend the 3-day trip and enjoy themselves over fancy dinners, drinks, music, amazing clothes, special treats and more! Most importantly, the event is for each influencer to style themselves or a model in Luisa via roma’s newest collection to help showcase what’s new and shoot photos around Firenze wearing these pieces. It’s a pretty fun and amazing event, I must say!
So, here is my first look out of two for my Style Lab photoshoot! This stunning Proenza jacket was the right touch to toughen up this look. Now- let’s focus on the print of this dress for a second, shall we? The stunning print and use of colors made it easy for me to make it the center piece of my look. It’s definitely something a little different than what you’re used to seeing me in since I don’t really wear long flowy dresses!
Hope you enjoy this look and photos that are all the way from Florence! Ciao!
