LFW: Todd Lynn SS ’14 #hairmeetwardrobe

Greetings from London! Touched down yesterday morning and checked into the beautiful new hotel they just opened two days ago, The London Edition. We were greeted with outstanding service as well as the most chic room; I was excited to settle in after a long flight! We were scheduled to meet at noon to meet the TONI&GUY HairMeetWardobe team at the Style Hub, where we would get to meet and interview Lulu Kennedy, the beauty & creative force behind Fashion East.

My flight was delayed an hour, so I missed meeting up with them at noon, which I was so bummed about. As soon as I checked in, I changed quickly to meet with the rest of the team and get my hair done with the new haircare line products by TONI&GUY.

We arrived at the Style Hub and was immediately taken care of- my hair went from bad hair day to runway-like hair. I was happy. After my hair was nicely polished, we then headed backstage to the Todd Lynn S/S ’14 show to see how the Global Hair Ambassador of TONI&GUY HairMeetWardrobe, Mark Hampton, works his magic on the models!

Take a sneak peek at a few of my favorite shots of what went down backstage plus my hair-do; a super messy low nautical pony tail. I picked the casual look from one of their 4 style collections and it fit perfectly with my look… casual grunge!

Mark adding some plumping mousse all over their hair to help give the illusion of damp hair.

Model waiting for her hair to be ready to style… I even like her hair this way actually!

Ta-da! My hair style in the Casual Nautical Knot. Loved it’s messiness and imperfect look!

The four looks to choose from; I was between the Casual and Glamour.

Was excited to shoot my hair styled this way, but as soon as we went outside, it started raining! My hair lost its texture due to the rain but it was a nice way to welcome us though!

Hair Care.

So, I recently went to get my hair re-touched because I was in much need to freshen up the brown in my hair. Many of you always ask me where I get my hair done and what the technique is called. Well, I go to Salon Benjamin and my colorist is Deanna and cut artist is the man himself, Benjamin. I don’t say the technique to my colorist anymore because she knows what I want, but for all of you that ask, tell them you want the ombre look in the balayage technique.

Make sure you give them specific details of how you DON’T want it. That’s important! But Make sure you tell them you don’t want the ombre look that is dip dyed (just the ends) or that there’s no depth in your hair and looks very one dimensional- it doesn’t look natural! You also have to be specific about what you DO want; I always tell them I want it to look super natural, sun kissed, beachy golden waves, and I have them add strands of golden brown around my face to help frame it. Please bring lots of photos of the actual color/style you want! These people are visual artists so they need to see it so its easier to understand .

I’ve had this color for a while now, and yeah, I need a change (just waiting to grow out my long bangs to meet the rest of my hair for the new change!) but it’s honestly, the most convenient color/style for me. It’s so low maintenance that I don’t have to worry about going in to get retouches often, which is great if you want to save money! The color complements my skin tone as well; which I love.

Deanna always does a phenomenal job with the color; always looks so fresh, young and natural! And Benjamin is a genius at cutting! Never been able to find anyone that I love how they cut my hair, but Ben, I love his work.

We thought it would be fun to shoot some photos while I got my hair done, especially so I can tell you where I get it and what its called! Enjoy! Leave a comment with any specific questions..

Thank you Sarah for the amazing photos!

Matchy-matchy with my skinnys and cell phone case! I love me some camo.

Loose waves are always my go-to; so easy and gives you an effortless look.

These are my go-to hair products I use religiously (i’ll do a detailed post on these products later):

Fallin’ for Fall.

Hat: UO
Fall is definitely one of my fave seasons, especially because I get to wear many hats- literally.
The past month I’ve been on a hat crave, maybe it’s the fact that I’m kinda sick of my hair/bangs and want a new look, so I’m hidin’ underneath such item. Definitely not minding the different looks a hat can bring though; this day I wore my floppy hat over the weekend to grab a quick lunch.
It covered me from the glaring sun while also hiding my awkward stage bangs.
Any recommendations on a new cut/color?
