A little floral on denim action.. I hardly wear floral print blouses, but this print was subtle enough that it didn’t look like flowers which I loved.
For boyfriend jeans, there’s a couple of things I look for when buying a new pair:
FIT. Obivously the fit is the most important element here… it has to have the right slouchy and bagginess. I like them a little low-rise, perfect for it to hit right on my hips.
LENGTH. I always make sure to roll them up when I’m trying them on in the fitting room. I like to roll them up either one big one or twice and if it’s still a good length when they’re rolled up once or twice, then i’ll snatch them up!
WASH. I’m very picky when it comes down to the wash. The right color is key for me. I usually gravitate towards two washes: a medium-dark wash and a light-distressed wash. I don’t really like any particular bleach stains or anything like that just because that’s hard to wear more often. I also do love distressed holes- not overload but just about two holes, one on each leg for the right detail.
Now, I’m off to enjoy a happy weekend with loved ones! Hope you guys have one too! See you in my next post! xo
It’s nice to switch out your skinny jeans or your leather mini to something even more comfier andsleeker…. leather tracking pants!
I hardly wear tracking pants, not even at home, but when they’re leather and look this cool, I wish I could wear them everyday. Since the weather was a bit cold and gloomy this day, a soft turtleneck was the only thing that would be keep warm up top.
Now I know what I’ll be traveling in for my next trip… leather tracking pants! Yes!
For our lunch break, we decided to finally check out brunch at the Ace Hotel in Downtown LA. We’ve been so excited that the Ace finally opened and could only imagine how much cooler DTLA will get in the next couple of years.
We shared plates so we opted for the big breakfast plate, ricotta pancakes, and a grilled cheese with lattes. The big breafast and ricotta pancakes were ahhh-maazing. Probably the best pancakes I’ve had. We didn’t care for the grilled cheese- kinda sucked, so skip it if you eat there!
We sat outside to enjoy a gloomy but beautiful day. The sitting area is probably my favorite… it reminds me of a cute little Parisienne cafe! Oh… the roof top at the Ace has a cool view of DTLA, awesome bar, pool and lounge area. Definitely one of my go-to places as of late! xo
A black and white combo is always classically good and for my second day in the city, I decided to keep it classic. We spent the whole day at the roof top #mangosummer pool party and afterwards we headed to the nearest Mango store so that we can help pick an outfit with our reader! Adriana, my winner/reader, was so much fun to shop with.. we went ahead and picked some staples that she needed for her wardrobe!
Since we did a lot of walking, I knew I wanted to be comfortable (as always) so I switched out my heels for my trusty ol’ Cons. I love how laid-back yet cool it makes the rest of my outfit.. kind of imperfect.
Also, I loved hanging out with my good friends Mike & Gabby, power duo, from Cup of Coupleblog; Photographers + Videographers + creatives, they’re so talented. Always a good shoot with them! Thank you Gabby + Mike for my photos!
