Dear London.

So I’m talking to you guys a little after my trip from New York to London to share my experience during London Fashion Week with the TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe team.

As a newbie to the beautiful city of London, I didn’t know what to expect especially when it came down to what I should wear or how I should do my hair. I decided to check out the scene and vibe the first day and thought I would go from there. Being that my style is already super laid-back as it is, I wanted to style my hair according to my wardrobe choices and the event I was attending that day.  For me, it’s important to really think about every aspect of getting ready. From the styling of my hair down to the shoes to makeup and the little details like accessories/bag because every little detail counts.

I try to keep things rather simple even if it’s just my hair. I like for my hair to match my style that I’m portraying that day! So for example, during LFW I wore a messy fishtail braid (extra texture thanks to the Sea Salt Texturising Spray from the Casual Collection!) and paired it with a pretty pair of shiny chandelier earrings to glam up a silver tailored blazer I wore with leather skinnies and boots which gave off a cool feminine glam look! On another day, I waved out my hair more than the usual and added the TONI&GUY Sculpting Powder from the Casual Collection to help add extra volume & texture. This loose wave look is the best look to style your hair when you want to wear a beanie… so I threw one on to match my casual hipster look for that day!

Working with the TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe team made me realize how important the philosophy of Hair Meet Wardrobe is. Hair has always been a huge part of my look but after being in New York and London for Fashion Week, I realized how key having your hair styled according to your look is… I think it’s not just about what you wear but how you wear it. It’s not about what you do to your hair, it’s about the confidence it gives you. I think you should be able to tell a story with your overall look and hair definitely has a big say in the story you want your audience to read. Since TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe has 4 fashion-inspired hair styling product collections – Casual, Classic, Glamour and Creative, you can style your hair to go with whatever you are wearing. Like I always say, you hair is your biggest accessory so why not use it to help complement your wardrobe?

After my first day in London, I realized that the style there was impeccable. There was something really special about how the people in London dressed and carried themselves that I found so endearing! It has been the best street style I’ve seen anywhere by far. I saw different trends on hair styles & haircuts in London that went so seamlessly with what they were wearing from boho-grunge, to classic preppy and even glam rock, there was a little bit of everything! I left feeling like chopping off my hair because I saw so many girls rocking short hair dos! Ah! Perhaps that’s my next haircut? I definitely tried to bring a little bit of their swag down with me…needless to say, I left inspired.

Next time you’re putting your outfit together, make sure to think about how to style up your hair too because it’s definitely dressing from the head down kind of situation! Have fun with it!

Take a look at some of the looks I rocked from my hair down to what I wore to a little diary of London! Be sure to follow TONI&GUY on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and you can shop the TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe products now at Target stores.

The amazing ceiling at our hotel; probably one of the most prettiest hotels I’ve been to!

Ran into the lovely Tamu from All The Pretty Birds at the Dover Street market. We were both contributors for Glamour’s Young & Posh’s network! She’s so sweetest and super stylish- loved her sleek, side parted hair!

It was definitely beanie weather in London; but I definitely used my favorite hair products (Sea Salt Texturising Spray to get these texturized waves! )

My first tea experience in London! It was priceless!

Close-up shot of my braid- it’s been my favorite hairstyle to do when I don’t know what else to do with it! So easy and looks so pretty!

LFW: Todd Lynn SS ’14 #hairmeetwardrobe

Greetings from London! Touched down yesterday morning and checked into the beautiful new hotel they just opened two days ago, The London Edition. We were greeted with outstanding service as well as the most chic room; I was excited to settle in after a long flight! We were scheduled to meet at noon to meet the TONI&GUY HairMeetWardobe team at the Style Hub, where we would get to meet and interview Lulu Kennedy, the beauty & creative force behind Fashion East.

My flight was delayed an hour, so I missed meeting up with them at noon, which I was so bummed about. As soon as I checked in, I changed quickly to meet with the rest of the team and get my hair done with the new haircare line products by TONI&GUY.

We arrived at the Style Hub and was immediately taken care of- my hair went from bad hair day to runway-like hair. I was happy. After my hair was nicely polished, we then headed backstage to the Todd Lynn S/S ’14 show to see how the Global Hair Ambassador of TONI&GUY HairMeetWardrobe, Mark Hampton, works his magic on the models!

Take a sneak peek at a few of my favorite shots of what went down backstage plus my hair-do; a super messy low nautical pony tail. I picked the casual look from one of their 4 style collections and it fit perfectly with my look… casual grunge!

Mark adding some plumping mousse all over their hair to help give the illusion of damp hair.

Model staying cool and calm while she’s being transformed into her new hair look.

Model waiting for her hair to be ready to style… I even like her hair this way actually!

Ta-da! My hair style in the Casual Nautical Knot. Loved it’s messiness and imperfect look!

The four looks to choose from; I was between the Casual and Glamour.

Was excited to shoot my hair styled this way, but as soon as we went outside, it started raining! My hair lost its texture due to the rain but it was a nice way to welcome us though!

Hair Meet Wardrobe

My hair has always been a big part of me; from the cut, to color to the way I style it, it’s been my best accessory. Growing up, I played around with different hairstyles, but always kept it cool by doing fun braids or pony tails. As I got older and started high school, I was into dying my hair. During college, I was always in search for the “right” hair products. Fast forward 10 years to now, I’m into all equally the same. It’s so important for me to have the right cut, color and to be able to style it according to what I’m currently into and wearing, especially.

For me, hair is just as important as what I wear and how it makes me feel. It’s definitely a part of my getting ready process that never gets overlooked because when I think of wardrobe and what I want to wear, I think of the whole package: head-to-toe; from hair down to my shoes.

So, I’m super excited that there’s a new hair care line that will merge the two and make it easy for us to style and bring the fashion to real life hair, our hair.

Meet TONI&GUY Hair Meet Wardrobe. This new brilliant concept in haircare will make life easier when getting ready. A concept that takes your hair and wardrobe and lets you express your personal style while tackling both.

Their four style collections; Classic, Creative, Glamour and Casual were developed around fashion themes to make getting dressed with hair in mind that much easier! I’m definitely a mixture of all three combined so I will be using the products from each style to execute my hair looks to help complement my outfit choices.

The line is finally arriving in the US Target stores and also will be available online at Target.comWith all this hair talk, it’s getting me really thrilled to see some cool runway looks with products used from TONI&GUYHair Meet Wardrobe line during London Fashion Week!

Once NYFW is over, I’ll be heading to London Fashion Week with TONI&GUY and I’m beyond excited to be partnering up with such an iconic hair care brand on something that’s so “me”… hair & fashion.

*I used the Toni&GuyHair Meet Wardrobe Sea Salt Texurizing Spray to give me beachy looking waves! I finished off my waves with the Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardobe Medium Hold Hairspray to keep them in place!

How do you combine the two? (Hair & Wardrobe) Do tell!
