Positano with Soludos / Part 1

A few months back I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Positano, Italy with Soludos. I teamed up with Soludos to shoot the look book for their Spring/Summer collection. Their collection has a great range of basics and special eye catching pieces.

Positano is a small village on the Amalfi Coast. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited- with the best seafood ever! The town is set on a mountain side that is stacked with the most quaint sun bleached pink, white, and orange homes. It is lined with steep cobble stone streets that all lead straight to the beach front. With just 200 steps from the main road to the sand, it is pretty much impossible to resist putting your feet in the beautiful Mediterranean sea!

I loved partnering up with Soludos on this trip for so many reasons. First and foremost because their espadrilles are the perfect vacation walking shoes. They are easy on and off and give you the perfect amount of comfort so you can explore all day! These Cris Cross Platform sandals I am wearing are the perfect sandal to wear shopping in the morning, to the beach in the afternoon, and then to dinner and drinks at night.

So much love and thanks to Soludos for the amazing opportunity and to Grant Legan, the photographer, for his amazing photos and being the best travel buddy!

Stay tuned for more photo recaps from this trip of a lifetime!

I’m such a denim girl… from skinny jeans to boyfriend jeans to denim jackets to even denim shirts, I’m all about denim. Probably one of my favorite things to invest on since it’s the easiest and most versatile piece to re-wear!

Here’s a few tips on the kind of details to look for when buying new denim:

  • distressed. I love distressed details because it makes your denim feel more worn-in and like you’ve owned it for years!
  • washes. Probably the first thing I look for when buying any kind of denim. It needs to be the right wash- no harsh lines or any green tone wash! I always stick to soft blues and look a bit faded!
  • rips. Definitely my favorite thing for jeans! Rips on the knees are the coolest detail to any jeans whether on skinny or boyfriend jeans! It adds such a cool, effortless flair that you definitely want to have in your look!
  • length. I’m real particular about my denim, especially when it comes to jeans. I like to have them come right above my ankles! Something about showing off your ankles is sexy! Stick to what compliments your body type. I know that for me, wearing jeans right about my ankle feels good and helps elongate my legs a bit! Find a good tailor to go-to so that they can fix your pieces to perfectly fit you!
  • frayed edges. These edges are definitely my number detail when it comes to cut-off shorts! The more frayed the better!
  • patches. Have fun and buy some already with patches (like these that I’m wearing!) or add some of your own for a more unique look!

Festival season is finally here- so crazy! Can’t believe we are in April already and the big festival is just a week away! I’ve been trying to hunt for the perfect pieces to take with me to Coachella because you know its not just about the music, it’s about what you’re wearing nowadays!

To get in the spirit early, I shopped a bit on Nordstrom.com to get dibs on festival inspired pieces! Of course I had check out the free people pieces they carry because they’re the perfect festival inspired brand!

It’s all about sticking to neutral warm pieces and different textures to keep things insteresting! Short shorts with espadrilles is always a ‘win-win’ for me!

What are you guys looking for to see during Coachella? What kind of streetstyle? And most importantly, who are you looking forward to seeing play? For me, its Drake and the WEEKND! ahhh!
