Floral Affair.

FLORALAFFAIR1

This pretty little flowy floral dress was the right item to make me feel pretty. Who says you can’t wear floral print during the holidays? The key to that is to add fun details to make it have a “festive” feel. Instead of over-the-knee boots, I opted for a cool pair of metallic oxfords for an unexpected touch. A cozy beanie added that fall/wintery vibe too!

So many flowy dresses to choose from during the holidays so I make sure to stick to brands that I love like Free People at Nordstrom. From high end bags to more inexpensive ones, or from accessories to home goods, I know I can always rely on nordstrom to find exactly what I’m looking for.

I love this dress and already have3 other ways I can wear it: long cardigan and over-the-knee boots, denim jacket paired with all-star converse high top in black,  or a fedora hat and suede brown booties! So versatile!

Don’t be afraid to mix things up by adding some metallic- it gives it that extra pop!

These metallic shoes are so different for me, but I loved that I got out of my comfort zone  for this purchase!

Future Heirlooms

This time of year we all think about what special gifts we want to get for our loved ones. I always put in a lot of time and heart into what I get everyone. I want my gifts to be meaningful and something that will be kept forever. I tend to go with pieces of jewelry that really represent the person I am getting it for.

Gold jewelry is something that people hang on to and hold close to their heart. There is just something behind a piece of beautiful jewelry that means so much more than a pair of shoes or a piece of art. I always try to get timeless pieces of jewelry that can be kept forever and eventually passed down to loved ones as #FutureHeirlooms

This year my gift theme is gold rings. Here are a few of my favorite pieces from Love Gold. I also snuck in this amazing LoveGold Magpie Necklace! #LoveGoldLive #LoveGold

A personal heirloom of mine is my Hortense Gold and Diamond Necklace. A few years ago my mom gifted this necklace to me and my sisters for Christmas. It is something that we all wear everyday to be a little way for us all to be together. We look at it as a sign of our friendship, love, and sisterhood. We are all incredibly busy, so this is a good way to remind us all of our roots and our love for each other. This is a piece of jewelry that we will always have and will eventually pass down to our children to keep them connected. These sort of gifts are the ones that are the most memorable and special.

Sebastian Saved My Style.

Last month was one of my busiest months this year! It was packed with so much traveling, meetings, events and a small appearance during New York Fashion Week.

With so many things on the to-do list and all the traveling I’ve been doing, it really takes a toll on my hair. Since hair is so important to me, it’s my everyday accessory, I like to always have my hair look great. Products have a lot to do with that, of course, especially when your life is always on-the-go. It’s important to have key products that fit in your bag or carry-on to help you have gorgeous hair days, everyday. Sebastian’s Hair Emergency kits are definitely life savers. I relied on their Flat Fix Kit and their Frizz Fighter to save me from having flat looking hair and ensure my style stayed flawless throughout the whole day. I loved that they were mini bottles, perfect enough to fit in my purse (see below photo on ‘What’s in my Bag’ for example)

I was so happy to partner up with Sebastian Professional during New York Fashion week to help get me through a couple of days of appointments, meetings and events. The humidity in New York during September really makes my hair suffer, so the #SebastianSavedMyStyle campaign definitely came at the right time. Their first ever hair emergency simulator, which consisted of a wind tunnel in the middle of the bustling Meatpacking District- that helped anyone who was having a bad hair day transform emergencies back to fierce style, using the Sebastian Professional Emergency Kits– the new collection of (4) hair styling kits tailored to tackle the worst hair emergencies. This was a fun and exciting way to not only fix your hair dilemma, but interact with the Sebastian Professional styling team. Icing on the cake was having your photo taken to show off our new killer hair looks at the end of the wind tunnel!

Earlier that day, we filmed a cool video of my day in New York and how no matter how busy I get, I always try to maintain my hair looking flawless whether its spraying hairspray in the middle of the street when I’m on the go, or just carrying my favorite Sebastian Professional products with me. Hope you enjoy our video- I love it!
