When it comes to skirts, I’m not known to have a variety of them. I usually tend to gravitate towards mini skirts, mostly leather or denim. Anything past the knee, I always find it hard to try a silhouette that flatters my body.
Knowing your body type and what suits you is the best advantage you can have because it will help guide you in buying things that you will have long term. I came across this beautiful suede wrap skirt the other day at Nordstom, and at first, I passed it by because I don’t normally wear past the knee skirts. As I kept shopping, I kept thinking about that skirt and how gorgeous the color was and how it can easily transition in fall. So, I went back for it and tried it on and fell in love with it! That’s the thing about fashion, you can’t take it too seriously and you just have to have fun. Didn’t expect to like it at all, but was open to trying new things on and ta-da!
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about shopping and fashion, it is to shop for what makes you happy…even if it means it’s an impulsive purchase.
