Maxi dresses are probably one of my favorite items to wear, as they’re extremely comfortable and easy to style. Additionally, they’re an ideal choice for your travel wardrobe! When shopping for maxi’s in the summer, I like to look out for light materials like cotton or linen, summery bold hues and cuts that don’t cover too much of my arms or shoulders. I love pairing them with straw hats & baskets, jean jackets, flip flops or sneakers, and beautiful jewelry. Perfect outfit to hop around in while exploring new towns and beaches.
I opted for this light and airy number from Free People – the bold yellow color and the open-back situation are probably my favorite features on this dress. I styled it with a lightweight knit in pink for a fun color combination. To finish the look, I threw on some slides, dainty jewelry and my fave Loewe straw bag!

What I appreciate about maxi dresses the most is their versatility. If I wanted to switch up this ensemble to look more elevated, I’d simply swap the slides for a strappy low heel, and swap the straw bag for a chic clutch. Easy does it, you’re ready for cocktails!
