How to elevate your denim look

Los Angeles, CA January 16

In need of some elevated denim outfit inspo? Look no further than this look. I’m almost always wearing jeans—wide-leg, barrel, boyfriend, straight… it doesn’t matter. I truly love a good pair of blue jeans. They’re timeless, incredibly versatile, and laid-back.

When you want to elevate a denim look, focus on refined pieces like silk blouses, button-ups, chic knitwear, and tailored blazers. These key items instantly take an outfit from casual to polished.

A knit cardigan is always a great option—it offers a cozy feel while still looking chic. Layering on a blazer adds that extra polished touch. When it comes to accessories, a sleek belt, minimal jewelry, and sunglasses are perfect for adding subtle accents that really stand out. One of the easiest ways to elevate denim is with a pair of heels—they instantly refine the entire look.

Style tip: When wearing pointed-toe heels, I love pairing them with wide-leg jeans that almost cover the heel, allowing just the tip to peek through. Avoid wide-leg denim with a hem that falls too short, unless you’re wearing straight-leg jeans that are meant to hit at the ankle. And of course, a nice tote is always the perfect finishing touch to make a casual denim look feel a bit more put-together
