How I stay organized using planners

Los Angeles, CA April 08

Staying organized through planning, journaling, and consistent routines is really about keeping things simple and being consistent.

One of the hardest parts of committing to any routine is simply getting started. Once you do, it becomes easier to stay on track. Over time, those small daily actions turn into habits, and eventually into a lifestyle that helps you stay organized, on top of your responsibilities, and more intentional with your time.

One thing that truly helps me stay on track is reaching for my planners and journals. That’s why I was so excited to have the opportunity to create my own planners with Blue Sky. We recently launched our second collection, and I’m honestly so happy with how they turned out. They’re easy to use, and they motivate me to check in each day, whether it’s planning ahead or simply jotting down reminders.

If you’re trying to stay consistent with journaling or planning, read ahead for a few tips that have helped me.

• Make it something you look forward to — Whether it’s a quiet moment in the morning with your coffee or a few minutes to yourself at night, turning it into “me time” makes it feel less like a task and more like a ritual.

• Keep it simple — Not every entry has to be long or detailed. Even writing a few key tasks or thoughts down is enough to stay on track.

• Use visual reminders — Sometimes you’re in a rush, and that’s okay. Using stickers, symbols, or quick notes can help you stay organized without overthinking it. I love that these planners include fun stickers, like cute emojis and appointment labels, that make it easy to mark things down quickly while still keeping everything clear.

• Stay flexible — Life happens, and you won’t always be perfectly consistent. The key is to come back to it without pressure and keep going.
