Spent a couple of days in Provence this summer, where we did plenty of walking through the most charming little villages, boutiques, bakeries, and cheese shops. It was such a special trip, and I came home feeling so inspired by the beauty and effortless style of the French countryside. If youāre thinking of holidaying here soon, just be prepared to get very inspired to pull out some fresh summer fits.
One trick that always helps me when I want to look stylish is to think about simple, easy outfit formulas, and then focus on elevating the details.
For example, start with a simple top-and-shorts combo. When choosing the top, look for something with a little extra fashion detail to it. Here, Iām wearing a striped linen tube top, which instantly makes a basic pair of denim shorts feel more elevated.
Then, pair it with a cute shoe, like a ballerina flat. Mesh is having a major moment right now, so opting for a mesh style instantly makes the look feel a little more fashion-forward.
And then come the finishing touches. I love adding fun jewelry, like this red beaded necklace, which brings in the perfect contrasting pop of color.
Bags are a game changer, too. I always love reaching for my Loewe raffia bag in the summer ā it adds that perfect chic, summery element to pretty much any outfit.
