How to master an off-duty look!

Los Angeles, CA June 14

One of my favorite outfits to put together is an off-duty ensemble. This look is so simple, chic and versatile. Achieving this look is easier than you might think, it’s all about gathering classic staples that can be easily thrown together. What’s even better is that you probably already have all of these items in your closet!

Here are some easy styling tips to consider for when putting together an off-duty look.

KEEP IT SIMPLE

I like to start with a basic tee & denim combination and then work my way around it. This classic combo can be styled in a variety of ways making it the perfect starting point. I also like the idea of a cropped top – if you choose this route, I think loose jeans (or shorts) work best.

OVERSIZED PIECE

Don’t be afraid to play with oversized items, these pieces really help balance out this ensemble. My preferred item is a blazer but you might also want to consider a leather moto or denim jacket. For me, I think an oversized item is what makes an off-duty ensemble look effortlessly cool!

CLASSIC SNEAKER

An off-duty look isn’t complete without a sneaker! Honestly, any style of sneaker goes. Right now, I’m really loving dad shoes and how preppy chic they are!

ACCESSORIES

Complete this look by throwing on fun jewelry and accessorizing. A gold hoop is ideal to give this look a bit of a polish. Optical glasses offer that supermodel edge that truly finishes this off-duty look!

Hope these tips are helpful! What are your go-to pieces to achieve an off-duty look? 🙂
