Shoes, shoes, shoes! Today I’m focusing on the perfect shoes for summer! From flats to slip-ons to sandals, we are always on the hunt for the right summer shoes. Sometimes you want something comfy, but sneakers aren’t always the best idea or maybe you want to dress up your outfit a bit, but heels just don’t seem right. Here are a few tips I have for summer shoe shopping:

1. Make sure you are choosing shoes that have good fabrication. You want to be sure that your feet aren’t feeling uncomfortable in the heat because that leads to more pain for your feet in the long run.
2. Find a perfect fit. Remember that leather shoes will stretch, especially when you are wearing them in summer weather. If you are in between sizes go with the smaller size, if the shoes are leather, to be sure that they will always fit you the way you want.
3. Choose neutral colors. If you are looking for a good summer staple choosing a color that can go with any outfit is a good idea.

Focusing on different types of styles is key. Summer is all about having fun and wearing different silhouettes, so playing with different types of styles will make your summer styling a lot more fun and versatile! I went to Nordstrom to do a little shoe shopping and challenge myself to stay away from sneakers this summer!
