A few weeks ago, I went to France to visit family for the holidays. We normally stay local but this time, we decided to head to the picturesque ski resort of Chamonix! And let me tell you, it felt like stepping into a magical winter wonderland. As a first-time skier, I must admit I was a bit nervous, but to my surprise, I quickly caught on and had an absolute blast.
The town we stayed in was absolutely charming, with its local coffee shops and adorable buildings that seemed straight out of a storybook. I made sure to carve out some time to not only hit the slopes but also explore the town’s hidden gems. I’ll be sure to share more on this little town in another post!
Given the chilly weather, I knew I had to bundle up to stay cozy. It can be a challenge to find the motivation to dress up when it’s cold, but I discovered that mastering the art of layering was the key for both warmth and style. For my outfit, I opted for a turtleneck layered under a cozy knit, with leggings tucked under my denim for extra insulation. My feet were in heaven thanks to my trusty Ugg boots, and to top it all off, I donned an oversized quilted coat for an added layer of warmth. To complete my look, I threw on some bold jewelry and a backpack to carry all of my snow essentials. Oh, I also recommend ear muffs – they’re a game changer.
