Weekend resetroutine

Los Angeles, CA June 12

We often spend our precious weekends trying to catch up on all those little chores we couldn’t finish during the week. Add in birthday parties, endless errands, and social commitments, and before you know it, Sunday sneaks right up on you! It leaves you feeling like you didn’t get a single moment of quiet time just for yourself.

That’s why, once in a while, it’s important to treat yourself to a simple weekend reset routine. It truly makes the biggest difference!

Ahead are some of the ways I like to reset and plan. I hope it’s a helpful guide for your next home reset routine!

Start with a Quick Home Refresh

Spend 20 to 30 minutes tidying up the areas you use most often. You don’t need a deep clean. A quick refresh can instantly make your environment feel more peaceful.

Focus on:

-Putting away laundry

-Cleaning kitchen counters

-Organizing your workspace

-Making your bed

Plan Your Week Ahead

Take a few minutes to review your calendar and upcoming commitments. Writing everything down truly helps reduce stress. Honestly, making a physical list into a notebook is my ultimate hack for when things start to feel overwhelming.

Jot down:

-What your top priorities this week

-Any important appointments

-Set goals and what you want to accomplish this week

Take Care of Yourself

A reset routine should include self-care. This doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated. Even small moments of self-care can help you recharge for the week ahead.

Some ideas:

-Take a long walk

-Watch a little tv

-Enjoy a relaxing bath

-Go to a pilates or yoga class

-Do a skincare routine

-Polish your nails

Disconnect Before Bed

Many people spend Sunday evenings scrolling through social media, which can increase feelings of anxiety. Giving your mind a chance to slow down can improve sleep quality and help you wake up refreshed.

Spend the last hour before bed doing something relaxing:

-Journaling

-Reading

-Stretching

-Listen to calming music

A weekend reset is all about creating a few simple habits that help you feel prepared for the days ahead. By taking time to organize your space, plan your week, and prioritize self-care, you can begin each Monday with a clearer mind and a more positive mindset.
