I’ve always loved capturing moments and the little things that feel beautiful to me. It’s a way of paying closer attention to detail and finding beauty in the everyday.
If you’re someone who wants to connect more with your creative side in photography and train your eye, a simple place to start is by taking photos of anything that catches your attention or evokes a feeling, whether it’s calm or joy. It’s less about perfection and more about noticing. Over time, it becomes second nature to pause and capture what you’re drawn to.
Here are a few things I’ve captured lately — moments that have made me feel inspired and happy.
Morning Routine
One of my favorite ways to start the day is by flipping through my planner to see what the day or week has in store, along with a few quiet moments journaling. Then I head out for some kind of movement, it sets the tone for the day.
Planners
I’m so excited about my collection with Blue Sky. Here are most of our new designs — they’re equal parts stunning and functional. If you haven’t checked them out yet, you can take a look here.
Color Dept.
Something special is coming to Color Dept. Follow us on IG for updates, you won’t want to miss this next launch. Any guesses?
Fresh Flowers
Fresh blooms, always. They’re a little piece of joy everyone can enjoy. Universal in their charm and are the perfect “just because” gift, a simple way to show appreciation to someone.
Newsstand
There’s just something about a newsstand. I love flipping through print—paperbacks, magazines, anything with beautiful imagery. It’s endlessly inspiring. I’ll usually pick up a few to keep at home, both for decor and to browse through slowly with my morning coffee.
LA View
Los Angeles! It’s home, and it inspires me every day. There’s always a sunset, a blue sky, or the DTLA skyline that’s worth capturing. It’s truly the city of dreams.
My Boys
I love capturing moments of my son and husband, the little interactions that make everyday life feel special.
