Things to do in Palm Springs!

Palm Springs, CA May 19

One of my favorite places to visit in California is Palm springs! It’s only a 3 hour drive from LA, the weather is perfect right now and there are so many fun and relaxing things to do. Kevin and I celebrated our 6th anniversary there a couple of weeks ago and it was nothing short of perfect!

Below, I’m going to share some of my favorite hotels to stay at, restaurants and some fun things to do while you’re there! So keep scrolling!

FAVORITE PLACES TO STAY:

SANDS HOTEL & SPA – This trip we decided to stay at the Sands Hotel and we are so glad we did because it was a dream! Everywhere you looked was so cute and photogenic! This hotel had major Miami vibes with all the lush greenery and pink interior. The pool area was gorgeous and offered cute pink daybeds to relax in! The room we stayed in was so nice and spacious, it came with a little patio & fountain – so cute! I swear this place was instagram heaven! Also, the hospitality was so awesome! FYI, this hotel is located in Indiana Wells, about 25 min out of Palm Springs.

THE COLONY PALMS HOTEL – This hotel is so cute! It’s located centrally in the heart of Palm Springs, which I love because you can literally walk to all the cute shops and restaurants! It’s also newly renovated, so everything feels so clean and new. The restaurant/bar area is elevated and chic. The crowd feels a little Hollywood but the drinks are fantastic! I’ve ordered classic margaritas several times and they are always on point!

KORAKIA PENSIONE HOTEL – I’ve stayed at this hotel several times and it’s so charming and peaceful! You’ll forget whether you’re in California or the Mediterranean. This place offers a pool, many outdoor spaces that include fire pits, fountains and stone paths – so pretty and unexpected. The food is also yummy here! I highly recommend you book a room here if you like boutique style hotels. My only unfortunate complaint is that the hot water runs out quick!

RESTAURANTS TO CHECK OUT:

WORKSHOP KITCHEN + BAR – A must every time I’m in Palm Springs! My favorite items on the menu are the fries, truffle burger and wood fire pizza! So delicious!

THE PINK CABANA – This restaurant is so beautiful! From the tile floors, to the decor and the branding – so stunning and instagramable! Ate here for brunch and ordered the green chile chicken tacos, the milk bread french toast and had a few juices. All so yummy!

BIRBA – Love the ambiance this place has to offer! The Pappardelle Al Ragu and the Birba Pizza were to die for. For dessert I had the butterscotch pudding! Buenicimo!

The Sands Hotel had major Miami vibes with all the lush greenery and pink decor! So cute!

THINGS TO DO:

JW MARRIOTT RESORT & SPA – I highly suggest you visit this hotel, even if you’re not staying there. Enjoy a meal here when there is still light so you can see the flamingos and say hi to them! They hang out on the property all day! Such beauties, loved finally seeing them in person!

MOORTEN BOTANICAL GARDEN – I love visiting this place – it’s cacti heaven! It only costs $5 to get in and there are many things to see. There’s also a nursery within the compound and plants are available to shop! It’s the perfect way to spend time with nature and to disconnect. Also, so cute for photos!

WALK THE STRIP – I always have such a great time walking the strip in Palm Springs. The gift shops and stores are so charming! I love enjoying some ice cream while exploring! Definitely worth a couple of hours during your trip.

Hope you found these tips helpful for your next Palm Springs trip!
